Workplace Violence Prevention Plan
California passed Senate Bill 553 to require employers in the state to develop and implement a Workplace Violence Prevention Plan. The purpose of this plan is to provide training and resources needed to:
- Report incidents of workplace violence
- Investigate incidents of workplace violence
- Document reports and investigations
- Survey employee groups on sources of risk for workplace violence
- Provide additional training to staff on how to respond to workplace violence and limit sources of risk
- Revise the plan to mitigate new types of workplace violence that arise over time
The plan was developed by the district with input from each employee group. Links on this page include access to the plan and reporting form. If staff have further input or questions, they may address them to this department using the departmental email address [email protected].
