The Insurance and Risk Management department seeks to analyze, evaluate, monitor, and address safety, health, and environmental risks to the district. Our services include programs that effectively reduce or eliminate risk exposures within several areas of the school district including:
- AHERA Compliance
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance
- Bloodborne Pathogens Workshops
- Environmental and hazardous waste management and disposal
- Ergonomic evaluations
- Hazard Communication Program
- Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)
- Property and Liability Insurance
- Safety Data Sheet (SDS) management
- Student accidents and injuries
- Ongoing safety assessments
- Safety training
- Science chemical inventories
In addition, the department manages processes related to self-insured programs which include, but are not limited to, property, comprehensive and general liability, automobile physical damage and liability, student accident, and other supplemental insurance coverage.
