The groundbreaking ceremony for the Career Technical Education Center at Independence was held Monday, March 12, 2018.

construction of the CTE Center is the start of a new era in the current High School District 122 history local leaders from education business and our community came together to celebrate the groundbreaking and beginning of construction on the Career Technical education center at Independence dr. Dean McGee associate superintendent of Education well services and Innovative programs superintendent dr. Brian Shaffer and the Board of Trustees for their vision and commitment to improving the quality of education for all students in the Kern High School District engage more in the learning process when they experience Hands-On learning activities program such as those of the offered at this facility support student career awareness they provide MGH learning opportunities they provide and develop academic Technical and work-related skilled in the Align with College and Career Readiness standards throughout the state facility will also continue our commitment to schools industry partners and our community to ensure that Kern High School District students are prepared to succeed in the workplace and at the post secondary level this is just an awesome opportunity I want to be able to serve more than double the amount of students that we serve in our transportation bus station program at the beach. She said two words many of the staff in attendance at the ground-breaking celebration are currently teachers at the regional Occupational Center located on South Mount Vernon Avenue several will be relocating to the new facility once it is built and they're ready for the challenge grow and change of scenery technical education the bull absolutely there's a need for law enforcement professionals up as a whole so this is a perfect perfect opportunity for the school district to attempt to to continue to build stovetop foundation for jobs for all those instruments work and picking him up their time even though they will not be taking class the new facility they still understand the importance of the addition and what it means to the Future for C Tech students open up for other students like got to the other RC program which I found is really it's really enriching to Roc program is a great program to help you get prepared for your future and I definitely recommend it the check was made possible for the passage of measure k a general probation Bond pass by Kern County voters in November of 2016 the groundbreaking ceremony was held Monday March 12th 2018 on the southwest corner of Old River Road and Berkshire Road
