The 2023-24 scheduled LCAP Public Forums for educational partners are listed below. Please note that Spanish interpretation will be available and some of the LCAP Public Forums for school-community educational partners will be held remotely via Zoom. Please use the links provided to register prior to each LCAP Public Forum hosted via Zoom. The schedule may change as needed, so check back as often as possible to see any changes and find one that works well for your family.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are not able to attend one of the LCAP Community Public Forum options, please contact Cheyenne Bell ([email protected]) or Doug Burdick ([email protected]). We want to hear from all community partners and educational partners. In addition, we are also meeting/engaging with parent advisory groups, student advisory council(s), outside community partners/groups, faculty associations and employee groups. The Kern High School District is dedicated to maximizing student success. DRAFT DEVELOPMENT
 
April/May 2024

KHSD will work with LCAP Advisory Council and District Parent Advisory Council/District English Parent Advisory Council on proposed draft versions of the 2021-24 LCAP. 

May 2024

KHSD will post draft of the 2024-25 LCAP for public review.
KHSD staff will continue to work with educational partners, county partners, and staff to review and assess this draft version in the coming days and weeks. If there are formatting issues or changes made to the draft, we will post those drafts here.

In addition, KHSD will make necessary changes to the proposed LCAP draft after the May budget revise that the Office of the Governor releases.

KHSD Board of Trustees Meeting at 7:00 p.m. - move for adoption of the 2023-24 LCAP

Education Code 52060 (g): The Governing Board of a School District shall consult with teachers, principals, administrators, other school personnel, local bargaining units of the district, parents, and pupils in developing the Local Control and Accountability Plan.

Education Code 52062: The superintendent of the school district shall notify members of the public of the opportunity to submit written comments regarding the specific actions and expenditures proposed to be included in the local control and accountability plan or annual update to the local control and accountability plan, using the most efficient method of notification possible. This paragraph shall not require a school district to produce printed notices or to send notices by mail.
