To ensure the safety of students and staff and to minimize interruptions to the instructional program, any person who is not a student or staff member must register immediately upon entering any school building or grounds when school is in session, and will be asked for picture identification [Board Policy 1250].  All KHSD sites with students use Raptor for the sign-in system on campus (or office building).  Raptor is a web-based software application that has been developed with the purpose of aiding educational facilities in tracking their visitors and students. Raptor not only provides an effective, efficient method for tracking, but also goes beyond conventional applications by utilizing available public databases to help control campus security.
