Approved Boundary Changes for 2018-2019 incoming Freshman Students Upcoming Boundary Changes On April 3, 2017, the Kern High School District Board of Trustees approved the criteria and timeline to relieve overcrowding at Frontier High School. The plans were presented to the Board of Trustees at the June 26, 2017 Board Meeting. Four public forum meetings were conducted in July soliciting public input. On August 7, 2017 the Board of Trustees with a 4-0 vote chose Plan A for implementation for the 2018-19 school year. The boundary adjustment affects the following schools: Centennial, Frontier, Liberty, North, & Shafter.
