KHSD Art Students Featured in Panorama Invitational

A wonderful range of pieces from high schools students throughout the KHSD will be on display at the Wylie and May Louise Jones Gallery at Bakersfield College, 1801 Panorama Drive, Bakersfield CA, 93305, from February 1st through March 8th, 2018 with the opening reception on February 1st from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.

KHSD Art Teachers Featured in Local Exhibit

The talent of our Kern High School District employees is on full display at a special event at Younger Gallery. The RAD Women’s Invitational: “A Celebration of Women Artists” is opening for First Friday, February 2nd featuring the work of several KHSD teachers. An opening reception is scheduled for First Friday, February 2nd from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. and a closing reception will be on March 2nd from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. Younger Gallery is located at 1430 Truxtun Avenue.

The Kern High School District has been very busy this past week with major competitions in Mock Trial, Robotics, and Virtual Enterprise. The KHSD also proudly took part in the State Project Lead the Way Conference and the Kindness Challenge, where all campuses encouraged random acts of kindness with special lessons, theme days, inspirational messages, and events. Virtual Enterprise Business Plan and Trade Show

See video highlights of a high energy virtual business competition with 1500 students from across California and five KHSD schools participating in the event at Rabobank Convention Center. Bakersfield High School took top honors in the Business Plan category and will represent California in the International Virtual Enterprise finals in New York City in April.
