The Kern High School District is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15 by recognizing the rich history and contributions made by Hispanic Americans. This year's theme is "Esperanza, A Celebration of Hispanic Heritage and Hope."

The latest edition of the KHSD Weekly Wrap-Up features the beautiful sounds of Mariachi while students celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Plus, Kern Valley students share a special "thank you" with first responders, KHSD students receive a national honor, and "Do the Math" shines the spotlight on Career Technical Education in the district.

In this week's edition of the KHSD Weekly Wrap-Up, you will find stories highlighting- Virtual Enterprise, Kern County College Night, a teddy bear takeover, Hispanic Heritage Month mural unveiling, tributes to the victims of 9/11, and Foothill sprinkles happiness on campus.

KHSD remembers the tragic event of September 11, 2021, and honors the thousands who lost their lives.

In this edition of the KHSD Weekly Wrap-up, we introduce you to two students who've accomplished what fewer than 1% have. Plus, we will show you how Kern Valley High School is serving the community impacted by the French Fire and ways you can also help.

The latest Weekly Wrap-up features the KHSD Early College Pathways launch event, a look at the support services offered at our Parent & Family Centers, and a Bulldog Strong welcome back video.

The KHSD Superintendent’s First In Class Awards are presented to those students with the highest grade point average in their school’s graduating class. On average, over 90% of all First In Class Award winners, earn the highest possible grade point average (GPA) of 4.50.
