Bakersfield High School's top 32 government students face off in a fast-paced question and answer civics-constitutional competition. Some big names including President Trump, Bill Gates, Elon Musk, and Rep. Nancy Pelosi pitched in to ask the students questions by video.

thank you for watching khsd news of Erin Briscoe Clark this is one of the most symbolically important buildings in our nation can you name it Castle High government students were put to the test to answer similar questions as the Earl Warren cup return to BHS the heart was packed the energy from the crowd would loud 32 top government student study count with hours on every aspect pertaining to the US government as a way of threatening congress with what type of presidential action and executive order teachers at Jeremy Adams and Kevin Rainier led the fast-paced question-and-answer competition where is little anxious but mostly excited it has been three years since it's been around and I'm glad to see you come back 2016 Adams was adamant it was the last Earl Warren cup so why did he bring it back it was more than just pressure it was also this idea that there are so much toxic adjust course so much negativity about something that should be inspiring that is the idea the beauty the Splendor of America and I wanted to show this community and medieval show this country that democracy is possible if we believe are students enough and if we give him a chance and opportunity to platform to see what the other one cup look what can happen as much as it was educational with some big names lending a hand like Bill Gates Secretary of State congressman Kevin McCarthy even the president made an appearance but in the end only one student could win the coveted cup Nichols taste and explain why this win was extra special needs a whole lot of my family immigrated here from South Africa citizens last year feels amazing to win a competition based around the country that's not my home is just inspirational I am so proud of these young people BHS beats the governor of California that appointed Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court thank you for watching khsd news I'm Erin Briscoe Clarke see you next
