Shafter High School and the Regional Occupational Center are piloting a KHSD Food Services program to bring food to the students.

there's a new meaning to the phrase fast food is changes are rolling on a campuses throughout the Kern High School District this is our new food card which we actually brought in to access the students and make it easier access for them to get their fur I actually have bricks that we put in for ice that actually keeps food cold and we have hot plates that would make it hot Services had the car to specially designed and stocked with everything the students would find in the cafeteria at a much more convenient location tracker way to the student it makes it simpler and easier for the students to come get their breakfast here instead of going all the way over the cafeteria and that way they can get to class on time cuz a lot of times you have the bus and sometimes will run late depending on the fog and the Tropic Griselda Briseno is a senior Chapter House and says this is really a nice way to get her day started smoking an orange Providence Campus is one of the first in the district to have I like it because it's a lot closer than just going all the way to the cafeteria and it has all the same stuff and all the food is really good awesome the great things continue to happen in Shafter and this is one more sample of the things that we do to continue with our Shafter pride and all that we do with our kids and and this is one more opportunity to provide them with you know a meal in the morning to help them get their Day started opportunity to serve the students and more students are participating in The Breakfast program due to the oenis and efficiency of the new cards the regional Occupational Center also has a food cart plans to apply for Grants to expand the Innovative program to every campus are in full swing the breakfast is the most important meal for the students you know to support their education and support them and their Endeavors took to graduate from high school we really want to get out to this day
