Transportation

The Kern High School District covers over 3,200 square miles, but no matter how far apart we are, our community stays connected. As a dedicated support service for our local families, the KHSD Transportation Department provides service to more than 45,000 students to 29 school sites each day. We are honored to be a part of helping students get to their classes, athletic events, and extracurricular activities safely and reliably. Our buses are driven by highly qualified drivers who have gone through rigorous training, traveling more than 3.8 million miles annually to keep students moving. Every vehicle is meticulously maintained by our conscientious maintenance staff and inspected annually by the California Highway Patrol to ensure the safest mode of transportation.
