On January 14, 2021, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) released a framework to support school communities as they decide when and how to implement in-person instruction. This document consolidates and updates guidance provided in 2020 and is a public health directive that schools must follow. It provides key mitigation strategies, criteria to reopen for in-person instruction, and requirements for a COVID Safety Plan (CSP).
This single consolidated framework and updated guidance for schools can be found on the
CA Safe Schools for All webpage or at this link:
COVID-19 Safety Plan
The COVID-19 Safety Plan (CSP) consists of two parts:
(1) the Cal/OSHA COVID-19 Prevention Program (CPP); and
(2) the COVID-19 School Guidance Checklist.
The components of the Kern High COVID-19 Safety Plan are posted below.
COVID-19 Site-Specific Prevention Plans (SSPP)
Each school site or program has a Site-Specific Prevention Plan posted on their webpage or available
here.
