COVID-19 Safety/Safe Return to In-Person Plan

On July 12, 2021, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) released COVID-19 Public Health Guidance for K-12 Schools in California. This guidance is effective immediately and provides requirements and recommendations to help schools provide all students safe in-person learning.

The 2021-2022 CDPH Schools Guidance for schools can be found on the CA Safe Schools for All webpage or at this link:

Highlights
  • Masks are required by all staff and students while indoors in K-12 settings per CDPH Guidance for Face Coverings
  • Masks are optional outdoors
  • There are no minimum physical distancing requirements when other mitigation strategies (e.g. masking) are implemented
  • Individuals with COVID-19 must isolate for 10 days
  • Vaccinated close contacts exposed to positive cases do not need to quarantine if not showing symptoms
  • Unvaccinated close contacts will need to quarantine for 10 days. However, these students are still required to quarantine from after school activities and sports for 14 days
