Photo Gallery: Career Technical Education Center at Independence Groundbreaking Ceremony

The Career Technical Education Center (CTEC) at Independence will provide an educational environment that is unique, inspiring and incorporates state-of-the-art industry-specific resources. This high tech facility is designed to facilitate the learning of academic and technical skills with a commitment to a continued partnership between schools, industry partners, and our community to ensure that Kern High School students are prepared to succeed in the workplace and at the post-secondary level. CTEC was made possible through the passage of Measure K, a general obligation bond passed by Kern County voters in November of 2016.
