More than two dozen KHSD students have been selected to take part in the Youth Leadership Bakersfield class presented by the Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce. The program is designed to inspire and develop future business leadership among our young people. The students will be focusing on topics including agriculture and art, health and human services, and leadership and energy.
The Youth Leadership Bakersfield group has a busy program schedule in 2017:
January 11: Leadership & Ethics Day
February 1: Health and Human Services Day
February 15: Energy Day
March 8: Law, Criminal Justice & Public Safety Day
April 5: Arts & Cultural Day
April 26: Agriculture Day
April 28: Graduation Ceremonies
The Youth Leadership Bakersfield Advisory Council has partnered with the KHSD to recruit applicants and develop programs for the special classes these future community leaders will attend. Congratulations to the KHSD Youth Leadership Bakersfield Class of 2017!
