The safety of our students, staff, families, and community members is our top priority. We want our community to know that the KHSD takes this responsibility seriously.
Our safety team has reviewed emergency plans and safety protocols, and in consultation with the KHSD Police Department and local law enforcement, we are implementing enhanced safety measures at our stadiums for athletic contests:
- Increased security and law enforcement personnel on site
- All high school students must have a valid school issued ID
- Students not enrolled in high school must be accompanied and supervised by an adult
- Weapons or objects used as weapons are prohibited
- No backpacks or large bags allowed inside the venue
- All bags subject to search, clear bags recommended
- Arrive early, expect delays due to security measures
- Dress codes will be enforced and no face coverings allowed
- Spectators must remain in designated seating and other identified areas
- CIF behavioral guidelines and event expectations will be strictly enforced
- Anyone who does not follow event expectations may be removed and restricted from future events
We appreciate the continued partnership and support of our families, staff, students, and community as we work together to maintain a safe environment for all. We are committed to continuous improvement and implementation of additional safety measures are being considered as part of our ongoing analysis of events.
