NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at 7:00 P.M. on March 1, 2021, or as soon thereafter as
practicable, at a regularly scheduled public meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Kern High
School District which will be held in the EOC Administrative Building, located at 5801 Sundale
Ave., Bakersfield, CA 93309, the Board will consider entering into an energy services contract
for the installation of certain energy savings measures, including solar photovoltaic systems. At
said meeting, the Board will hold a public hearing on and consider a resolution to adopt findings
required by Government Code section 4217.12 regarding anticipated energy cost savings and
other benefits the District may receive if the Board decides to enter into the energy services
contract. The resolution, contract, and supporting documents will be included with the Board’s
regular public agenda for the March 1, 2021 meeting.
NOTE: In light of current public health concerns, Governor Newsom issued Executive Order N29-20, which partially suspends certain provisions of the Brown Act relating to public meetings.
As such, the Kern High School District Board of Trustees will be conducting the March 1, 2021
open session via livestream. Individuals interested in attending the March 1, 2021 Board
meeting and/or making public comments may do so by following the directions listed on the
March 1, 2021 Board Meeting agenda, which will be posted at the District Office, located at
5801 Sundale Ave., Bakersfield, CA 93309 and at each District school site, and which can also
be viewed online at https://go.boarddocs.com/ca/khsd/Board.nsf/public.
