Local Control Accountabily Plan (LCAP)

The Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) is an important component of the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). Under the LCFF all school districts are required to prepare an LCAP, which describes how they intend to meet annual goals for all pupils, with specific activities to address state and local priorities identified in the California Education Code, Section 52060(d).

This is a fantastic opportunity for the public to be directly involved in enriching our community and the educational initiatives of Kern County. Our upcoming meeting calendar displays all of the future public forums, where parents, business owners, non-profit organizations, and students can collaborate together to build the right plan for our students.

The Kern High School District (KHSD) is dedicated to maximizing student success and ongoing communication among all stakeholders is the key to making sure our students are supported to the best of our ability. KHSD is committed to a quality educational program, responsive to the needs of our students in a safe and nurturing environment. A key component is the development of collaborative partnerships to build capacity between KHSD and community partners.

Our mission is to provide programs and services to allow ALL students to graduate from high school prepared to succeed in the workplace and at the post-secondary level.
