In this training, teachers will learn how to use the online resource Actively Learn to help students learn and use skills such as annotation and close reading. Teachers will learn how to either locate and modify pre-existing lessons and works or how to create their own. Teachers will also learn how to embed content, either text or multimedia, to help students with context they may lack, embed questions that align to standards, and teach students how to use this to annotate and collaborate with one another.
There will be two types of lessons, a fiction and nonfiction, with teachers creating one of their own before they leave.
