VISION:
The Kern High School District English department is committed to curriculum and instruction that engages, challenges, and teaches students critical thinking in the domains of reading, writing, listening, and speaking, using a variety of genres of literature and modes of writing. Our curriculum accommodates a variety of learning modalities, differentiated instruction, and collaborative settings so that upon graduation, students will think critically and communicate effectively.
