Business Classes offered this year are
Business Explorations, Virtual Enterprise, Computer Applications and
Keyboarding
Business Explorations is a one year course in all aspects of Business.
A look at Marketing, Accounting, Human Resource and Management. This
class includes local entrepreneurs and business speakers.
Virtual Enterprise is a 2 period course where the students run a
business simulation. They will be in competition with other
schools for business plan, marketing plan, salesmanship and completing quarterly tasks.
This course also does fundraising activities for the Stockdale High
Business Club to cover costs for trips.
Computer Applications is an opportunity for students to learn Microsoft Office software.
Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
Some of the skills students will gain in Business
Exploration and Virtual Enterprise are resume creation, bank account
reconciliation and simple tax preparation.
Computer applications students will gain skills in operating the
Microsoft Office software programs.
In Keyboarding the student will gain typing speed and accuracy and
learn to create office documents.
Virtual Enterprise is a unique course in that the students can
achieve Economics credit upon completion of one full year, 2 hours.
There is also, an opportunity for travel to Trade Fairs.
Interests and Activities
I enjoy teaching students business concepts and computer software
programs.
When I am not teaching I enjoy tennis, I am a beginning golfer and enjoy going to the beach.
