The Instrumental Music Department at Stockdale High School

Stockdale High School has a very well rounded music program that has many opportunities for high school students who are studying string, wind, or percussion instruments to be involved in  excellent performing groups.  Our award winning marching band and color guard is very active in the fall.  Our two concert bands,  which make up the marching band become very active beginning in December.  Our Symphony Orchestra begins in the fall and runs all year.  Our Jazz Band also begins in the fall and runs all year.  There are also opportunities to be involved in small ensembles. Every two years we also produce a musical which includes our musical theatre orchestra.   Many on the Stockdale instrumental students take the opportunity to be involved in honors groups both on the county and state level.
