GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

ATTN ALL ACTIVE BSU STUDENTS:  Applications for scholarships are being accepted now, see Mr. Porter in Crossroads room.  Deadline is today.

 

Spring Volleyball will begin today @ 3 pm.  This is for any girl wanting to play volleyball next year.

 

ATTN STUDENTS:  Show your appreciation for Seniors we know they’ll be missed.  Purchase a Senior gram during lunch for $3 beginning Mon., 5/19 thru Wed. 5/21.  You must know the senior’s first & last name and 7^th period class.

 

Softball awards have been changed to Monday, May 19^th @ 6 p.m. @ South High cafeteria.

 

ATTN STUDENTS:  Powder-puff football tickets will be sold for $1.00 ea. WITH ASB, or $2.00 WITHOUT ASB during lunch hrs or at the door today.  Look for the table in back of Act/Ath Office.

 

ATTN STUDENTS:  Purchase a yearbook and be automatically invited to the Signature Party Mon. 5/19 from 3:00-4:30 in the girl’s gym.  Cost is $1.00 you can only attend if you bought a yearbook.  The price has increased to $75.00.

 

ATTN ALL FOOTBALL ATHLETES:  We’ll meet in Port 4 @ 3 pm. Bring your cleats.  We */will practice Mon-Fri and participate in a passing tournament @ Ridgeview tomorrow.

 

Any student going to Mira Monte High School in the fall; if you would like to try out for Cheerleading next year, come to the Activities Office for information.

 

FLOWER GIRLS & ATTENDANTS:  We have a mandatory dress rehearsal Wed. May 21^st after school in D25.  If you do not attend you can NOT be a Flower Girl/Attendant.  Bring all of the clothes, accessories & shoes to the meeting.

 

All boy basketball players “open gym” will be from 6-7 p.m. on Tuesday & Thursday of this week and next week.

SENIOR ANNOUNCEMENTS:

ALL SENIORS:  Graduation is a Formal Event, you must dress accordingly: Attire for Men Dress Shoes (no tennis shoes or flip flops), Dress Slacks, Tie, & Dress Shirt.  Attire for Ladies Dress Shoes (no stilettos, no flip flops), Pants Suit, or Dress (must adhere to the SHS Dress Code). If in doubt Mrs. Waterman will be glad to see the out-fitJ Students who are not dressed appropriately will be sent home to change and may miss walking the stage.  There will be no balloons or horns allowed into the stadium.  Students will not be able to carry anything into the stadium: no phones, no ipods, no purses, and no sunglasses. 

ALL SENIORS:  Do you have the 90% attendance to walk the stage at graduation? If you need to make up hours - last chance is Saturday @ library.

SENIORS:  Those who took the AP Test(s) and did NOT pay, must now go to the Finance Office to pay for the test, it has been placed on your money owed screen.  For those who were absent or were no-shows for AP Test(s) you now have a money owed screen as well.

 

ATTN SENIORS:  Grad nite bus sign ups will begin on Monday 5/19 in the Activities Office during lunch hrs.  You must have your receipt to sign up & some form of I.D. card (license or school) to bring with you on the bus. 

 

Seniors, college reps want you to know you must maintain your GPA in good standing and successfully complete your A-G courses.  Failure to do so may result in your college admission being withdrawn.  For UC’s you must maintain a 3.0 in you’re A-G courses.

 

Seniors scholarships are coming in daily.  Check in the career center frequently for updates. 

 

Check out the posters by the career center, cafeteria, and the library to see the different universities the seniors have been accepted for the fall. Thirty seniors have been accepted to UC’s.  Approximately eighty-six seniors have been accepted to CSUB and other CSU’s.  Two hundred seniors have applied to BC.  Other seniors are going to vocational schools or the military.  Seniors you are following your dreams and making them become a reality. 

 

ATTN SENIORS:  There is to be NO added items (i.e. photos, writing, etc) allowed on your cap & gown.  They are to be worn as they are received, or you will NOT walk the stage for graduation.
