STAFF:  The CSEA Chapter #81 scholarship application is available in the Career Center.  If you have a son/daughter that is a senior this year, have him/her stop by and pick up an application.

 

SENIOR ATTENDANCE GUIDELINES

REMINDER

LEVEL 1 - 10  period cuts:  A warning letter will be mailed to the student's parent/guardian as well as a phone call to the parent/guardian to discuss the consequences of additional cuts.

GBF (Generals Best Friend) Club will be having a meeting TODAY, 4th and 5th lunch, in room 406.  We will be discussing our plans for our Valentines Party on Friday, Feb. 12.

The General Pride Club will meet briefly after school TODAY in room 606. Stop by to vote and make your choice!  If you have any questions, see Mrs. Castillo.  See you there.

All Football Players: There will be a mandatory meeting tomorrow after school in room 1206.

All students:  There will be no Valentine deliveries made to Shafter High.

Reminder:  All signs, posters and flyers are to be approved by the Activities or Dean's office before they are posted.  Only blue tape is allowed to be used to post the signs.  See Ms. Black if you need to use some.  Anything that is posted around campus with anything other than blue tape will be taken down immediately.  Also, there is to be nothing posted on the windows of the student store.  All signs and posters placed there will be removed.

To ALL Students:  Noche de Gala is finally here!  On March 6 at the Richland Activity Center (the blue building), 7:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.  Buy your tickets early.  Through the month of February tickets will be $30.  The week of the dance, March 1-5, the cost will increase to $35!  Two live bands:  Banda Santa Lupe and Los Transas de La Sierra plus DJ Ayer y Hoy.  Don't miss it!!

Seniors:  Mr. Abel Guzman (CSUB ETS) will be available TODAY, 10-3, in the Career Center to help with the FAFSA or if you have any college, financial aid or scholarship questions.

SENIORS: If you do not order your cap and gown by March 1, it will not be delivered to the school with the rest of the caps and gowns.  You will have to go to Bakersfield and pick it up. 

All Students:  The CSF application period for the 09-10 fall semester ends Friday.  If your report card said "possible CSF student", stop by the Career Center and pick up a CSF application.  You must apply for each semester.  If you have questions regarding CSF, see Mrs. Fortenberry, CSF advisor.
