Training Vocational training is vital to a student's future earning potential. It is a required component for graduation of Special Education students. A properly prepared, specifically trained person stands to earn a better living than a person without knowledge of a skill. Students can get a head start by being trained before they graduate and are then ready to go to work. The business community has been very receptive to the program and has permitted students to gain valuable experience by on-the-job observations and in many cases, has also provided on-site training opportunities. |
|
Results Students earn credit while in training and all credits apply to the graduation requirements of the kern high school district. The typical student will be trained in at least two areas each school year. Upon graduation, the student should be able to focus on two or three potential job possibilities.
