Do the following:

Step 1  Log on to a computer using your six digit user name and your password

Step 2  Click on the Internet explorer icon.

Step 3  You should be at the library web page.  http://www.kernhigh.org/east/library          

Look below EAST HIGH LIBRARY LINKS and click on On-Line Library Catalog

 

 

Search for a book by its TITLE

 

Step 4:  Click on the button that says

 Step 5:  When a new screen appears, type in the white rectangle the title of a book,

My Life in Dog Years.

 

Step 6    Go to the middle right of this page.  Choose ◙ Search by library. Click on the down arrow to the right.  Click on EB High School Library.  

 

Step 7  Now click Search  . This will take you to a new page.

 

Step 8  Look to the left of the title My Life in Dog Years by Gary Paulsen.  Write down the call number of this book.

Step 9  Click on the black Home button on this page.

 

 

Search for a book by its AUTHOR.

 

Step 1  Click on

 

Step 2  Type in an author’s name.  Twain, Mark    Click  Search    This will take you to a new page.

Step 3  Write down the title of one book by Mark Twain.

Step 4  You can add the + sign to the root of a key word to expand your search.  Try typing teen+ in the first blank and drug+ in the second blank.  How many results did you get now? ______
