Associated Student Body Mr. Jason
Hodgson-Dean of Athletics and Activities |
Student Activities Complex is located at the southwest corner of the quad
(across from room 10) and includes the Activities/Athletic Advisor's office,
the A.S.B. Finance Office, and the Student Council
Chambers (or Bear Room). Student Council meets in the Bear Room once a week to
consider campus problems, projects, and activities. We would like to hear your
ideas, and we encourage you to inform us of any suggestions you might have to
improve life at Arvin High.
The Athletic Office is located in the Student Activities Complex. The Athletic Director can help you with matters pertaining to athletics, such as insurance and physicals. Feel free to drop in.
Teresa Serna, Manager
The Student Store is located on the east end of the campus. It is operated and
supported financially by the Associated Student Body. The store carries school
supplies, spirit items, AHS shirts, music, computer and PE. supplies,
candy, food, and soft drinks. Be sure to visit the Student Store often to
support your school.
Ms. Maggie Barajas, Finance Clerk
Student debts and fees are paid in the ASB Finance Office. Debts for textbooks,
library fines, shop or lab fees, athletic equipment, and any other outstanding
obligations must be paid. Section 48904 of the State
Education Code provides that parents and guardians are responsible for the
property loaned to students; we would, of course, prefer that books and
materials be returned. However, if for some reason, this is not possible,
payment must be made. Debts must be cleared at the replacement cost of the book
or materials lost. Uncleared school financial
obligations may result in denial of special privileges or passes.
The Associated Student Body of Arvin High School asks for your support, both at activities and with your financial backing. An A.S.B Card will give you the following savings:
