Upcoming Public Meetings/Forums

The Kern High School District is dedicated to maximizing student success.  Ongoing communication among all stakeholders is the key to making sure that our students are supported to the best of our ability.  The 2016-2017 scheduled LCAP Community Public Forums for school-community stakeholders are as follows (this schedule can change as needed, so check back as often as possible to see any possible changes and find one that works well for your family):

  • October 11 at South High School in the Parent/Family Center at 6:00pm
  • October 25 at Arvin High School in the Library at 6:00pm
  • November 1 at Mira Monte High School in the Library at 6:00pm
  • December 14 at East High School in the Career Center at 6:00pm
  • December 20 at Foothill High School Parent/Family Center (time TBD)
  • January 12, 2017 at 12:00pm (KHSD Conference Room A, 5801 Sundale Avenue)
  • January 12, 2017 at Liberty High School in the Library at 6:00pm
  • January 19, 2017 at Golden Valley High School in the Cafeteria at 6:00pm
  • February 1, 2017 at Shafter High School in the Cafeteria at 5:30pm
  • February 2, 2017 at Arvin High School Parent/Family Center or Library (second one) at 6:30pm

HOSTED AT THE SITES BELOW AND ONE VIDEO-TELE CONFERENCE AT THE DISTRICT OFFICE, 5801 SUNDALE AVENUE.  REMOTE TELE-CONFERENCES/VIDEO FROM THESE SITES BELOW:

February 28, 2017 at 6:00pm:

  • North
  • Bakersfield
  • Ridgeview
  • Kern Valley (not tele-remote, but there at KVHS with KV admin team)
  • West (will attend in the Board Room across street from campus)

 

PLEASE NOTE:  If you are not able to attend one of the LCAP Community Public Forum options, please contact Brian Mendiburu , Supervising Administrator or Denise Huizar, Sr. Staff Secretary at the District Office and we can arrange time to come in or use phone/email.  We want to hear from all community partners and stakeholders.  In addition, we are also meeting/engaging with parent advisory groups, student advisory council(s), outside community partners/groups, faculty associations and employee groups.  The Kern High School District is dedicated to maximizing student success.  Ongoing communication among all stakeholders is the key to making sure that our students are supported to the best of our ability.
