Bakersfield Adult School Program Honored

The Children's Center at the Bakersfield Adult School received a 4 Star Rating from Kern Early Stars and the California Quality Rating and Improvement System. The program was recognized for outstanding work based on the levels of education and training provided, personal interactions, child development, and overall environment.

Along with the star rating, the Children’s Center will also receive a twenty thousand dollar grant to enhance programs and services.  A report card will be shared with families explaining the areas the Children’s Center excels in as well as the areas they are continuing to strengthen.

Bakersfield Adult School Principal, Mark Wyatt, Children’s Center Director, Kathy Philley, and Pre-School Instructional Specialist, Chansamone Milaythong, were honored for their accomplishments at the June 26 Kern High School District Board of Trustees meeting.
