Local Cheer Squad Performs on National Stage

Centennial High School (CHS) cheerleaders are preparing to perform in the halftime show at the Holiday Bowl in San Diego on December 27, 2016.

During their trip to San Diego, the CHS cheer team will also perform in the Holiday Bowl Parade; attend a Master Cheer Class; work with nationally accredited choreographers Rob Schultz, Laura Edwards, and AC Cailla; and visit SeaWorld.

“These girls are working so hard and are really looking forward to this once in a lifetime experience. Besides all the events planned during the trip to San Diego, the girls will also be exposed to the scholarship opportunities for cheerleaders at the collegiate level.” – Wendy Horack, CHS Cheer Advisor

CHS was chosen for the Holiday Bowl performance due to their long history of performing at charity events around the Bakersfield community.

The team is still working on fundraising efforts for the upcoming trip and haven’t yet reached their goal. To make a donation contact Centennial High School at (661) 588-8601.
