The maps above represent the Kern High School District School attendance boundaries that went into effect in August, 2003 with the opening of Golden Valley High School. The next new high school, Frontier, will be at the intersection of Allen Road and Kratzmeyer Road. This school is scheduled to open in Fall, 2006. Changes in attendance boundaries for the opening of Frontier have not yet been determined.
Boundary changes that reflect the opening of this school as well as any adjustments to other boundaries will be approved by the Kern High School District Board in early 2005. Recommended changes will be determined through a community wide committee with parent representation from each school and from a wide variety of community representatives. New schools are opened with incoming 9th and incoming 10th grade students.
